Nature Walks

Wellness Walks with Ben

Members of the Western community are invited to join PhD candidate Ben Souriol for tranquil weekly walks on campus. These walks first began in September 2021 and offer a great opportunity to explore the campus, connect with nature, meet new friends, and learn something new.

To participate, please email Ben at bsouriol@uwo.ca to be added to the mailing list. Details about the location, time, and date are shared in advance of each walk. Walks typically begin in front of the Biological and Geological Sciences Building.

GeoHikes and GeoWalks

Discover the geology of London, Ontario with the Thames River GeoHike, an interactive tour along Western University’s campus. Featuring seven stops, the hike highlights how glaciers and the Thames River shaped the landscape over thousands of years.

Available both in person and online, the experience combines walking trails with immersive digital tools, including 360° images, 3D models, and guided content. Explore the full GeoHike experience and uncover the natural history beneath your feet.
