Free Store

Welcome to the Free Store at Western - your on-campus hub for reuse and sustainability! The Free Store is a space for campus community members to donate items they no longer want and take home things for free. By repurposing items, you are supporting a culture of circularity and are helping to reduce carbon emissions associated with the creation and transportation of new goods.

Every visit makes a difference! Since opening in September 2025, more than 1,100 kg of materials have found new homes, keeping valuable resources in circulation through reuse. The space has also welcomed over 1,000 visits, and since April 2025, over 200 donations have been made by members of the Western community.

The Free Store is open to students, staff, and faculty at Western. Please make sure you bring your Western ONECard with you when you visit.

August Hours: Wednesdays from 11:30am - 1:30pm

September Hours: Wednesdays from 11:30am - 2:30pm (CLOSED: September 30)

The Free Store is located in the Arts & Humanities Building, Room 1B09.
