Camping Firewood

Camping is a great way to get outdoors and enjoy nature, but it’s also important to respect the natural habitat. It is especially important to use firewood from around the same location as the campsite. Wood from other areas can carry foreign species like the Emerald Ash Borer that was transported to Canada through wooden packaging and is responsible for the destruction of millions of trees in southwestern Ontario.

Don't cut down trees while camping (you'll likely be kicked out of provincial parks if you're discovered doing this anyways) and be sure to purchase firewood from a local vendor!
